FlipOS Whatnot Connector — Privacy Policy

The FlipOS Whatnot Connector is a free browser extension that shows live sales
statistics for the Whatnot stream you are watching, worked out in your browser. It
needs no account. Optionally it links to your own FlipOS shop. It runs only on
whatnot.com.

WHAT IT ACCESSES
- Your Whatnot login (cookies): only when you enter a pairing code, the extension reads
  your whatnot.com cookies from your browser and sends them to the FlipOS server address
  you configure, so FlipOS can act as your account. They are sent only to that address.
- Your FlipOS login (sync): when you press Sync with FlipOS, you grant the extension access to the FlipOS address you
  typed in, and its requests to that address carry the FlipOS login of your browser, exactly as the FlipOS website does.
  The extension never reads or stores that login itself, and no Whatnot cookies are involved in sync.
- Live stream statistics: on a Whatnot live stream, the extension listens to the stream's own event feed in the page and
  reads the show's Sold list using the session you are already signed in with, to total revenue, orders and top buyers
  in the side panel. Your sign-in details never leave the page, and these totals are kept only in the extension's local
  storage on your computer. They are not sent to FlipOS or to anyone else.
- Show history (optional): only once synced, the side panel asks your FlipOS server for earlier
  shows of the seller you are watching and sends it that seller's name, the show id and the usernames of the top buyers
  shown, so it can mark buyers you already know.
- Local settings: your FlipOS address, the shop you picked and the pairing code are stored locally in the browser
  (chrome.storage) so you do not have to re-enter them; they stay in your browser.

WHERE YOUR DATA GOES
Without an account nothing leaves your browser. Once you sync, data flows only between your
browser, Whatnot, and the FlipOS server address you enter.
Nothing is sent to the extension's developer or to any third party. Your data is never sold,
and the extension shows no ads and performs no analytics or tracking.

PERMISSIONS AND WHY
- cookies: read your own whatnot.com login to connect your account (pairing only).
- host access to whatnot.com: the extension runs only on whatnot.com.
- storage: remember your FlipOS address, shop and pairing code locally.
- optional access to your FlipOS address: asked for when you press Sync, so requests to your own FlipOS carry your login.
- alarms: prune the local totals of streams that ended, and check whether a newer version is available.
- sidePanel: show the live statistics panel next to the stream.
- scripting: start the statistics listener in Whatnot tabs that were already open when the extension was installed or updated.

DATA RETENTION
The extension keeps only your local settings, which you can clear at any time by removing
the extension or clearing its storage. Any data it sends is handled by your FlipOS shop.
